What is the ESN Buddy Programme?

The programme pairs international students with local volunteers to make settling in easier and way more fun!

Your buddy will help you navigate your new city, answer questions, and show you the best spots, while you build friendships that last beyond your exchange.

How to join?

1. Check your welcome email → sign up for a buddy via Papaya (our matching system).

2. Didn’t get the email? No stress – just register directly in Papaya and select ESN ASE-CMP Bucharest.

3. Papaya matches you with a local buddy.

4. Your buddy will contact you via Facebook or email – say hello and start planning your Bucharest adventure!

Step-by-step guide on how to use Papaya

1. Sign up in Papaya and verify your email.

2. Complete your profile (Host: Bucharest – ASE; semester; arrival date; languages; interests).

3. Select section: ESN ASE-CMP Bucharest.

4. Request a Buddy (Apply/Matching → Submit).

5. Check your email/Dashboard for the match and message your Buddy with your arrival date.
